At McCann Health Medical Communications we partner with global pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients to deliver world-class solutions in strategic consultancy, medical communication, pharmacy communication, real-world evidence, regulatory support, market access, and digital excellence. These solutions all help to shape the debate on the products our clients develop.

Our culture is respectful, supportive and empowering with a strong focus on collaboration, innovation and learning. The variety of clients we work with allows our staff to broaden their experience through new and interesting therapy areas as well as cutting edge communications projects.

We offer careers, not jobs. We build roles around the strengths and aspirations of our staff and in doing so have become an employer of choice for over 500 employees worldwide.

We are now looking for a passionate, driven and strategic-thinking Scientific Director to strengthen our team at CMC Connect. CMC Connect is a leading healthcare communications agency with offices in the UK as well the East Coast USA and is therefore perfectly positioned to support clients worldwide. CMC Connect's vision is to provide high-quality communications that are engaging and inventive, rooted in scientific integrity and injected with commercial insight.

As Scientific Director you will lead both the strategy and delivery of the full scope of medical communication products and services to meet the needs of our clients. You will have a strong background in medical writing and planning scientific communication programmes and have broader skills that will help us expand our multi-channel service offering. We are looking for someone to lead teams, uphold the quality of all deliverables, solve problems and build great relationships.
Applicants must have a life science degree (preferably a PhD) and the ideal applicant will have a multi therapy area background. Applicants will also need to possess excellent quality control, project management and briefing/reviewing skills along with an ability to inspire high performance - bringing out the very best in others.
In return we offer an excellent remuneration and benefits package and provide long-term choice and development that supports and encourages our editorial staff to progress their medical communications career. Our highly skilled teams reflect our continuing commitment to being an employer of choice as well as a provider of choice. This is demonstrated in our Investors in People award, which we have held for over thirteen years.
